Alot of nice pix and to dos with DSL and Cable modems, but...
There are alot of nice pix here on DSL and Cable modems, but nothing on a modemless Internet hook. I use a Wireless Internet (Orinoco raido) hook. I have looked everywhere on how to network my XP system and Win2K system and I find nothing on an easy way of networking the two. I have a crossover and the two ethernet cards. When I try to net the two my XP freezes big time. Will there be a diagram on how to net the two systems? I went to the "crossover explained" and all I see a nice pic of two systems, but no step by step on how to set them up.
Thanks...

basics
I have two computers side by side (less than 3 feet apart and at present have one connected to my DSL modem through the USB Port and one connected through the ethernet card/cable. I am able to use both of them separately but can't use them together. I have a new computer on layaway right now and am going to replace one of these. The only thought I have is that I can buy a separate external drive and use that for my important files which I can then transfer via the USB port which has worked so far, but I think I am mis-using what I have and would like to have more detailed information. How can you tell what a "crossover cable" is? I have several Ethernet cables but don't know one from the other.
