HomeRF 2.0 is a 10Mbps wireless networking technology.  Secutiry is already built in and comes enabled by default.  There is a single vendor making HomeRF chipsets and only a couple compies that sell products that use the HomeRF standard.  Although a technically strong solution, it lacks strong vendor support.  Read more about it here
Speed:
HomeRF runs at 10 Mbps.  This speed is about the same as an 802.11b solution.  It does not however have the range or support as many people.
Cost:
HomeRF products do not have a large number of vendors to force a price war.  Because of this and the lack of interest in the market, HomeRF products have remained rather expensive.  Check for HomeRF prices here
