To the writer of the tutorial "Configuring Windows 2000 and XP"
Thank you very much for the tutorial it was very helpful. I had a network connection before with two machines, one running win2k and the other XP Pro. Unfortunately I lost it because I end up reformatting one of them.
Your article is very similar to the paper that I found at the Microsoft website and they confirm the fact that Windows XP does not have the NETBEUI Protocol files and they do tell you to copy them from the Win XP CD into the root directory. The only thing that you forgot in your tutorial was the fact that the INF folder in the root directory is a hidden folder and the user has to make it visible to copy the NETBEUI.INF file to it. Other then that, I follow your direction and my two computers are talking to each other.
Thank you again for your tutorial.

File transfer in WIN2K AND WINXP
Hi,
I have a wireless network using 802.11b with2 computers, one using WIN2K and the other using WINXP.
I can transfer FILES from WINXP to WIN2K, BUT I cannot transfer files the other way around i.e: from WIN2K TO WINXP.
If any1 has any idea on how i can get the transfer done both ways, please HELP!
Thank you
